The Retention Schedule sets out the different types of information held by Leeds City Council, how long we keep it for and the reason why.

The Council endeavours to adhere to the Schedule wherever possible. However, there are some circumstances in which we may not always be able to do so, and in such instances we are working to remedy this.

There are also some exemptions to these rules which are implemented on a temporary basis, often associated with ongoing cases. The Council keeps a record of such exemptions.
