The Bus Open Data Service provides high quality information about bus services in England. This helps passengers and the bus industry. The Bus Services Act 2017 requires all public bus operators in England to provide this information from 2020. It will eventually include route and timetable, fares and real time data.

NaPTAN is Britain's national system for uniquely identifying points of access to public transport. It is a core component of the national transport information infrastructure and is used by a number of other UK standards and information systems.
