#Floodhack16

FloodHack 16 will run across Friday & Saturday, maximising the chance of people with different commitments to get involved at some stage. It’s running in the excellent cowork space at ODI Leeds with fibre broadband & plenty of work benches. The aim is wide variety of different prototypes, including maps, community building, comms, open data, visualisation & electronic monitoring.

The hack is supported by Leeds, Calderdale & Bradford Councils, hopefully York will be joining up as well. There’s also support from TechNorth & ODI HQ to make this happen, be involved and and get as much interest as possible. The Environment Agency & DEFRA are engaged.

What is needed now; are people that, were involved, were affected, understand the engineering, understand water & flooding, can build digital services, can use data and can develop stuff  to get involved.

The event will be free to attend, but please sign up via the link above to ensure that you have a place…
