IoT: Healthcare. Connecting the sick and the elderly
Connecting and monitoring patients has tangible benefits to society, but at what cost? Prof. Matt Wilson explores both the opportunities and pitfalls of what connected healthcare could bring and change how we treat our sick and elderly in the future.
We asked Prof. Matt Wilson from Telecoms Cloud , a former Non-Executive Director in an NHS Trust, with a responsibility in Telehealth, to take us through some lessons learned, some of the products in the market, what is currently being achieved by both the public and private sector while sharing his insights for how we are both treated for illnesses and monitored during recovery with a connected future.
Join us on the 21st of Sept for a joint IX Liverpool and Sensor City event and you’ll discover how the Internet is transforming healthcare, learn how it affects the patient experience and be inspired by what the future holds with connected Healthcare.
Places are limited, please book early!
All of IX Liverpool’s events are free to attend, all that we ask is that you enjoy them!
By the end of this event, you should learn about:
• The opportunities and pitfalls of connecting patient and their data to the Internet, including the cyber threats that could affect us
• The business and technological opportunities of IOT and healthcare
• How IOT is going to transform the healthcare industry and what to expect in the future from your healthcare experience
